The Forgotten Gods Event

Ahoy, scoundrels and daring pirates! Clean the compasses, sharpen the cutlasses, and prepare to pay homage to the gods of old! Welcome to the Forgotten Gods event, where pirates can earn divine favors and walk away with legendary loot. Here's how to navigate through these treacherous waters.

Overview

  • The Event will run for 3 weeks, from start to finish (ending October 27th at 3PM PST).

  • Collect ancient Tablets through Bounties, Quests, and other means.

  • Assemble divine Idols for Old Salt, Broseph, or The Dealer.

  • Epic rewards await those who craft Completed Idols of the winning god!

Collecting Tablets

These tablets have interesting patterns etched into their surface. After some study, we've discovered that these are actually Star Charts, ancient maps that may lead to long forgotten locations and treasures!

  • How to Acquire: Complete Bounties and Quests associated with the Forgotten Gods event (these marked with "[FG]"). When you collect a random Tablet of one of the three Forgotten Gods. Use the Tablet to start one of the Idol Bounties in order to collect an Idol piece.

    • New ways to collect these Tablets 'may' be introduced during the event as well...so be on the lookout for shenanigans!

  • Types: There are three distinct Tablets: Old Salt, Broseph, and The Dealer.

  • Re-rolling: Complete a "Not I!" Bounty to swap a Tablet for a different one! This provides you with a chance to exchange the current Tablet with one of the other Forgotten Gods tables.

*PRO TIP - Use the letters "FG" in the Quest or Bounty filter to filter out unrelated content and display only the Forgotten Gods content.

Assembling Idols

  • Idol Pieces: Run targeted Bounties, which require a Tablet to start, to earn random Idol pieces that are used to craft a Complete Idol.

  • Mechanics: Use a Tablet corresponding to a god to activate their Bounty. The Idol Piece rewards will be random, but it's a part of that god's Idol.

  • Craft: Once you have collected all 3 separate pieces of a Forgotten Gods' Idol you can craft them into a Complete Idol for that faction.

  • More Idols: Don't slack off; you must construct additional Idols! Each Completed Idol crafted during the event will count toward both your personal Completed Idol count and the count for that particular Forgotten God.

Who Will Win?

The Forgotten God faction with the most completed Idols at the end of the event will be declared the winner. If you have crafted more of this gods idols then the other two gods, you will be consider in this gods' faction and you will be a member of the winning team.

The top three members of each gods' faction will also receive special recognition as defined on the table below.

The god with the most completed idols at the end of the event claims victory. Will Old Salt rise from the depths? Perhaps Broseph will rally their rowdy host? Or will The Dealer shuffle the deck in her favor? Only time, and your choices, will tell!

Prizes & Rewards

At the end of the Forgotten Gods event the Tablets, Idols and Idol pieces you have collected will be ground into Idol Dust. This Idol Dust will be used as a token to start Quests that grant additional prizes...so the more Idols you make during the event, the more, and better, prizes you will receive after it concludes!

*Most prizes awarded from Idol Dust will be Soulbound. All Tablets, Idol Pieces and Idols will also be Soulbound. This was done to prompt fairness and competition for this event.

Lore of the Forgotten Gods

Broseph

Broseph, the jovial twin deities of drink and jest, were once the heart and soul of every raucous gathering on the Infinite Isles. With one brother pouring endless libations and the other spouting tales that blurred the line between humor and sheer absurdity, they were the patrons of every tavern brawl and boozy night under the stars. As tales of their escapades became as diluted as the watered-down rum of old, their statues were lost to time, though the echo of their laughter still occasionally drifts across the Isles' moonlit nights.

It seems that the brothers have recovered from their ancient hangover and are seeking to start a new party with the denizens of the Infinite Isles.

Old Salt

Old Salt, the enigmatic god of the sea, was once the guiding force for every sailor and pirate who navigated the treacherous waters of the Infinite Isles. With skin as weathered as ancient driftwood and eyes that mirrored the deepest ocean abyss, he was believed to govern the tides, winds, and fortunes of those daring enough to venture onto his waters. However, as the ages passed and newer deities emerged, Old Salt's temples were reclaimed by the sea, and his legends faded into whispered tales shared by elders around flickering campfires.

With the recent fall of Bruce, an ancient Megalodon that was defeated by the legendary Captain Roninnupe, Old Salt has awoken and is seems interested in recruiting a new crew to worship him and the old ways.

The Dealer

The Dealer, an enigmatic goddess of luck and fortune, was once the beacon of hope for every pirate seeking treasures in the shadowy coves of the Infinite Isles. Adorned with cards, dice, and shimmering coins, she held the fate of every gamble and the outcome of every plunder within her ever-shuffling hands.

The Dealer loved to gamble, but she did not expect to lose the bet with a rival where the loser had to fall silent for 1,000 years. Without being able to bless her worshipers they strayed to find other gods and she slipped into obscurity.

Now that time has passed, a new game is about to start and The Dealer is at the table once again.
